About the event
We Are the Archive: A Two-Part Genealogy Workshop
This two-part genealogy workshop invites participants into the practice of researching, preserving, and honoring family history. Designed for both beginners and those looking to deepen their skills, the series offers a supportive and accessible entry point into genealogical research. This workshop series will be facilitated by Catherine Bell. Catherine Bell is a dedicated genealogist and active member of the Milwaukee County Genealogical Society and the National Genealogical Society. She shares her expertise through articles for the MCGS Reporter and "Ask the Genealogist!" workshops.
Part One introduces the foundations of genealogy, including essential tools, methods, and strategies for beginning family history research.
Part Two builds on this foundation through a hands-on research session, where participants actively explore records, archives, and digital resources to uncover and expand their family stories.
You must register for both sessions. Each session takes place from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM…
