What we are about
CR8TV HOUSE is dedicated to creating and sustaining a space that provides community and belonging for Black and other historically marginalized artists. Our mission is to support artists in making art, exhibiting their work, and engaging in meaningful conversations about the issues that matter most to our communities.
We are committed to stewarding Black stories by uplifting, critiquing, and celebrating the richness of Black life and experiences. We believe that to truly understand who we are, we must begin to tell ourselves new and transformative stories.

At CR8TV HOUSE, we continually reflect on key questions that drive our work:
-
How can we empower artists to use their practice to collaborate with and uplift their communities?
-
How can we decolonize art-making spaces to imagine new, inclusive ways of engaging with art and artists?
-
How can we use art as a tool to activate and build stronger communities?
-
How can we use art to document and honor the narratives that shape our identities?
Our vision is to create a future where art serves as a catalyst for connection, empowerment, and transformation.

a home for artists
At CR8TV HOUSE, dreaming radically is not just a philosophy—it’s a necessity. For Black and other historically marginalized artists, the act of imagining beyond current realities is a powerful form of resistance and creation. Radical dreaming allows us to envision a world that prioritizes equity, access, and belonging, where our stories are not only told but celebrated and preserved.
By fostering a space for bold, uninhibited imagination, CR8TV HOUSE empowers artists to break free from traditional constraints, challenge oppressive systems, and explore innovative ways to connect with their communities. Dreaming radically means creating a future that honors our experiences, centers our narratives, and redefines how art can transform lives.
In a world that often tells us to play small, CR8TV HOUSE dares us to think big, act boldly, and dream a future that is as limitless as our collective creativity.
We all need space to dream radically.
At CR8TV HOUSE, the community archive is a living testament to the richness of Black life and creativity. Through the collection of Black ephemera—artifacts, photographs, documents, and everyday items—we honor the narratives that often go untold, celebrating the beauty, resilience, and complexity of our experiences.
These pieces are more than objects; they are stories. Each artifact holds a connection to the past, a reflection of the present, and a promise for the future. By preserving and curating this ephemera, we create a space where our histories are not just remembered but actively engaged with, sparking dialogue, inspiration, and empowerment.
The community archive is a collective effort, built by and for the people it represents. It serves as a reminder that our lives, no matter how ordinary they may seem, are valuable threads in the fabric of history. At CR8TV HOUSE, we are committed to ensuring that these stories remain accessible and celebrated, anchoring our community in a sense of identity and purpose.
