This archive, capturing the essence of Black family life, becomes a vital testament to identity and the documentation of Black stories and legacy.
Success is measured by increased participation, artist recognition and growth, and a thriving living community archive with regular assessments guiding continuous enhancement. THE CR8TV HOUSE, INC. emerges as an innovative approach to solution to this challenge, offering a remedy through its teaching gallery, studio spaces, and community archive, providing a dedicated and accessible hub for artists in need.
We all need space to dream radically.
We center the belief that artists can use their practice for
civic engagement to solve complex problems.
We do this by providing space for radical imagination,
support and collaboration.
In many art environments, Black and Brown artists face compounded challenges to both access and lack of belonging. THE CR8TV HOUSE seeks to disrupt this pattern by providing a dedicated space for artists to utilize their creative expressions as a catalyst for conversation, celebration and addressing complex societal issues. This initiative operates on key assumptions: that art has the power to inspire change, community engagement and foster supportive networks. We also believe that increased representation empowers artists to contribute meaningfully to societal problem-solving.
